A long time ago I started this here blog so that my extended family could keep up with the children and see progress on our home remodel. As I have reviewed some of my posts, I don't see a lot of the home remodel coming across.
This is how we spent our January weekends: relocating the laundry area from downstairs to upstairs. Before, my washer was in the right corner of a basement room, and my dryer was about 15 feet away on the left. Inconvenient. Really inconvenient. Especially since the set is made to have the washer on the left and the dryer on the right. (At least that way the doors open away from each other and you don't have to do some crazy contortionist moves to change laundry!)
Hooray! My laundry machines are upstairs and centrally located in the mud room. We're not done with the project, I still want cabinets and paint and a floor that doesn't slope. And then there's the dryer vent issue. And the holes in the drywall where electrical and plumbing were run. And a door that needs replacing and a window that needs removal. And I won't even start on the kids' bathroom....
