- Stacie thought she had a job. They said, "Call us tomorrow if you want the position." She called. They are unsure. She is still unemployed.
- Porter made it through his first venture into Day Camp. Monday was so stinking hot they had "Mr. Misty" running. Tuesday at the closing ceremonies you could see your breath as you exhaled. What the heck?!
- Porter was made part of the fire guard for the closing ceremonies. They said that the boys selected had done all these great things to earn the privilege. I wanted to know who had inhabited my son's body at camp.
- Nathan started Day Camp today. They served hot chocolate. In June!
- Monday night we had another tornado warning. A funnel cloud was tracked from Laurel (10 minutes west of us), to Shephard (30 minutes north and east of us). The children were in tears because Jessica's boyfriend lives in Shephard. All is well.
- A house blew up yesterday. It was not my house. A boulder fell from the rimrocks and crashed into a neighborhood. A gas line exploded. Much damage. No injuries reported. Even the pets were safe.
- Washington DC: T-10 days and counting. Debate to prepare for. Speech to prepare for. Clothes to pack. Clothes to purchase. Must go shopping. ICK! Must enlist help of generous friend to take daughter shopping, everyone will be MUCH happier that way. Thanks Julie! If your children ever need to learn the finer points of hardware identification or small engine repair for the FFA competition, I'm your gal!
- Girl's camp: T-17 days and counting. Still need to cut wood. Still need to sort supplies. Off my mo-jo for camp this year. What's up with that?
- Father's day hasn't even made my radar this year. I'm a horrible person & I admit it.
- Good-night all. Tomorrow is another day. I must go to prepare for it.
